Maple Tahini

Maple syrup, orange juice and a pinch of cayenne bring tahini dressing to a whole new level.

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • 2 Tbs orange juice fresh squeezed*
  • 2 Tbs water
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 clove garlic grated on a microplane
  • zest from 1 lemon
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • pinch of cayenne



  1. Whisk all ingredients together. Taste it. If it needs more salt or maple syrup (or anything else), add it. If you want to thin it down, add more water or juice. I usually end up adding another tsp of maple syrup and another pinch of cayenne. In the end, it should taste good TO YOU!


  1. It can also be made ahead of time and keeps well for a few days.

You can sub lemon juice for the orange juice without much of a taste difference.
